The Easiest Way To Start Taking Advantage Of LinkedIn Today

For the purposes of this blog, let’s assume you’re already connected with all your voice over clients on LinkedIn. Now, in the event you aren’t, you should go do that right now.

I’ll wait…

Ok. Well done. Let’s proceed.

I’m sure there are advantages to being a LinkedIn Premium member, though, I can’t say for sure. I’m not one. There are so many ways to find leads and develop prospects, that paying for LinkedIn has never really been part of my model.

However, when you’re connected with your clients on LinkedIn, there’s one extremely easy way to get top of mind on a regular basis.

The Easiest Way To Start Taking Advantage Of LinkedIn Today

Champagne-poppingEach day you receive an email from LinkedIn, or you should anyway. That email is basically a daily digest of activity in your network. It has things people are sharing, posts people are writing, etc.

It also has 3 key engagement opportunities.

Birthdays. Promotions. Anniversaries.

There’s your in.

Birthdays. Promotions. Anniversaries.

When one of your voice over clients is celebrating a birthday, a promotion, or a work anniversary, that’s your opportunity to get top of mind.

Wish them happy birthday.

Congratulate them on their new promotion and wish them well.

Acknowledge their years of service and wish them many successful years ahead.

This has nothing to do with you. It has nothing to do with voice over. It’s not a chance to make a pitch, ask for work, remind them of the job you did together last month, or offer to send a new demo over.

It’s simply you building your relationship.

Great client relationships are the foundation all successful voice over business are built on.
