This week I’m continuing my Saturday Morning Cartoon series by introducing you to someone who has been referred to as the First Lady of Voiceover. That’s right, it’s not just a man’s game! Depending on your age, you may not recognize this lady right away, but if you’re younger, no doubt your parents will.
June was born in 1917. Her voiceover credits started in the 40’s. To this day, well into her 90’s she’s still a working talent and still one of the best in the business.

Among her most recognized credits June was the voice of Granny from Looney Tunes and Rocket J. Squirrel from Rocky & Bullwinkle. She was responsible for voices in The Smurfs, The Gummi Bears, Alvin & The Chipmunks, DuckTales and The Flintstones. Cartoons would have never been the same without her! Read more about June here.
