    I really enjoyed the information that I got from the course, “Booking in Your Backyard” I knew there were so many different people and business that I could connect with but after the class, it gave me the motivation to go out and start networking.

    I have joined a Chamber of Commerce networking group, went to a function, passed out my cards and met some really great people. I have been asked, by one of the members I met, to appear on a local TV show. They want to interview me to find out more about what I do as a voice actor. I am also doing an interview on a talk radio show.
    This stuff really works. You have just got to get yourself out there and connect with people. You never know when someone needs your services. Thanks Marc!

    The webinar was full of information, allot I already use except my way of doing it lacked organization. “Booking in Your Backyard” puts it all together. I will run through it again with my notes from the first time and fine tune. I guess if I had to say the one thing that stood out was the chamber information, I am working on that now.

    The webinar was, like Ed Hawthorne has said, full of information. The real estate and telephony information was great. I had to drive out of town the other day and noticed businesses along the way that could possibly use my voiceover services. I have also started to notice the advertising on the back of vehicle windows as possible leads.

    The statement about investment verses expanse was one I need to consider. Marc also mentioned that all this information doesn’t work if you don’t use it.

    Gotta go and start making my real estate demo.

    All of Marc’s suggestions seem like common sense after he says them, but they’re things that I honestly never thought about before. Now I have to make a plan, kick myself in the butt, and start hitting the streets!

    I took “Booking in Your Backyard” as a “preparation to launch” course. The demo is on its way! I have been saving up the business sections of local newspapers and online papers. The class made me more aware of what lays before my fingertips. There are many Chamber of Commerces and I found that the county Chambers are free and may duplicate the paid Chamber memberships; my neighbors are resources in connections as well as bank executives and other professional relationships. LinkedIn has a plethora of ways to connect, but also offers ideas for that “personal connection.” Neighborhood websites – if one has them, offers many possible connections. Opportunities are there and I will be ready. Thanks, Marc!

    As with all of Marc’s courses, Booking In Your Backyard is top-notch, to the point, and jam-packed with information that will literally transform how you book VO work.

    Marc basically hands you a treasure map and a shovel so you can have a viable VO business not only in your own backyard, but you can use what you learn to then radiate out to conquer the globe.

    If you follow his instructions you can’t help but be a successful VOpreneur. Well worth the investment.
