By now you’ve likely heard about Men’s Wearhouse founder George Zimmer being dumped from the company he founded.
It’s not all bad news for Zimmer, though.
You know his voice. You’ve heard him say that famous tagline hundreds of times,“You’re gonna like the way you look. I guarantee it!” A rich baritone voice. And if you’ve ever read an audition asking for “gravelly” you could certainly use him as a reference.
Big Contract
According to CNNMoney, Men’s Wearhouse will be paying Zimmer $1 million for his voice. The deal is $250,000 a year for the next four years, whether the company uses his voice (and likeness) or not.
What makes this deal even sweeter; when Zimmer was with the company he only received an extra $10,000 a year to do the spots!
